Now that you know why I moved to Edmonton, I can tell you a little more about why and how I began practicing Torque Release Technique (TRT).
As chiropractors, and many professions, have continuing educations, I found myself at a new seminar, TRT. I had never really heard of it before, but was really interested when a colleague piqued my interest in that it was tonal based. We do not learn this technique at school, and I am about learning as much as I can about the nervous system and human frame.
What is meant by tonal based it that it is a light force technique. At least, that was my primitive understanding at the time. Knowing that I adjust many infants and children, any tonal and light force technique is important, as tiny little spines are cartilage and only light force can be used. The amount you would use to test a ripe plum. It takes a lot of practice and skill.
So, here I am at the first day and it completely – BLEW ME AWAY! We were talking philosophy, but the connection to the nervous system and science, was the link I was looking for.
Quantum physics states, everything is vibration/frequency. Our own spinal cords are piezoelectric in nature – it is vibration. All of our nerves are vibrations/frequencies. We can have a direct result on the human frame’s well-being. And they had research to show it!
The reason I began with the technique, is because I have a chronic low back issue. It is definitely the place I store and throw my stress. I got adjusted at this seminar and for the first time since I was 23 years old, I did not have any back pain for a few days.
I bought an integrator at the first seminar and completely changed my practice after that. The results I was seeing clinically were unbelievable. (If you want more specific information on the integrator and how we adjust please refer to the website.)
I have now been adjusted for a few years with TRT for wellness care, and am happy to say that I feel stronger and healthier than I did in my 20s.
That is why I do what I do. I want people to know they can have the quality of life they want when chiropractic care is a part of their lifestyle choices.
