OUR COVID-19 RESPONSE
The safety and comfort of our employees and patients are of the utmost importance to us.
EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2020 – MASKS ARE NOW MANDATORY IN ALL PUBLIC SETTINGS IN EDMONTON.
Patient Responsibilties:
1.) Screening will be conducted both at the time you book your appointment and at the time you arrive for your appointment. It is your responsibility to answer truthfully about any symptoms you may be experiencing.
2.) We ask that you arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment time to help us maintain social distancing.
3.) Hand Sanitizer and soap and water are provided in strategic locations to help maintain proper hand hygiene. You are required to follow proper hand hygeine upon entering the clinic, before you see the doctor if you had to spend time in the waiting room and before conducting any financial transactions.
4.) Maintain 2 meters distance at all times from people who are not from your household.
5.) Please refrain from bringing people who are not scheduled for appointments at the same time as you whenever possible. We are required to screen everyone who walks into the clinic, and this added delay will cause a slowdown to operations.
6.) Effective August 1, 2020 wearing a mask is mandatory. Due to city bylaw, all patrons, including patients and employees are now required to wear masks until further notice. Be advised that due to supplies, we will not be providing masks to patients at this time.
Our Responsibilties & Measures:
1.) We will screen patients at time of booking and again at the time of their appointment without fail. We will also log all visitors and times that they arrive. Furthermore, we will also screen staff and the doctor on a daily basis with the same measures.
2.) We provide the essential hand hygiene products necessary. All members of the staff will also follow proper hand hygiene.
3.) For our safety, the staff and doctor will wear masks through the duration of the pandemic as social distancing in those roles is more difficult.
4.) Tables will be disinfected between each patient. Face paper and rods has been removed according to the guidelines. Cleaning procedures have been enhanced to fall in line with guidelines.
5.) We have removed the majority of our chairs from the waiting room to help with social distancing requirements of 2 meters and have changed how we schedule to keep minimal people waiting.
6.) Brochures, magazines, books and all toys have been removed from the waiting room. Should you require any material, we will dispense it to you.
7.) Nutritional Supplements are now available to be shipped directly to your door through our online store. We are limiting product at the clinic to lower the number of potential vectors. Please let us know if you need any products and we would be happy to help. You can find our store here.
8.) We are offering administration discounts on pre-pay packages of 6 or 12 appointments to limit interations at the front desk. Payments can be taken over the phone in addition to at checkout.
