My husband and I vary our food menus at home.  It is difficult to make sure each of us is getting what we need in our bodies based on our body types (metabolism) and our food sensitivities. With how busy we are at work, sometimes we enjoy juicing to get our daily vegetable intake. 

Below is a cruciferous juice that we found worked quite well for us; since it tasted pretty good overall.  We have tried some juices that have been horrible in the past! 

The recipe comes from the book “The Juicing Bible.”

You will need a juicer for this recipe and it should serve up to two people depending on how much you intend on drinking yourself.

Recipe Cruciferous Juice:  

1              spear broccoli

¼             head cabbage, cut to fit tube

¼             head cauliflower, cut to fit tube

2             kale leaves

½             lemon

2             apples


  • Using a juicer, process all the ingredients: the broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, lemon and apples.
  • Whisk it, and pour into one large or two smaller glasses.
